As some of you may know Heather Ross is one of my favorite fabric designers. So, I couldn’t be more excited about her new book being available for pre-order on Amazon. The book is titled Heather Ross Prints: 50+ Designs and 20 Projects to Get You Started.
Earlier this year Heather had a blog entry that outlined what 2012 will bring. She wrote “And in July I have a brand new crafts book coming out. Its another Melanie Falick book, and it was so much fun to work on. The book is all about fabric design and digital printing (on paper, on fabric, and on wallpaper) and includes twenty projects that I couldn’t be more proud of. Did you know that you can print anything you want on rice paper and make a hanging lantern out of it? Or a string of lights? YOU CAN. Did you know that you can have just about anything printed on wallpaper? YOU CAN. But if you you would rather use my artwork, you can use one of the forty plus prints (a combination of old favorites and new designs) that are included on the disc in the back of the book….”
I am excited for this book not only will there be 20 great projects, you can use Heather’s great artwork to complete them. Her blog post in January states that we should expect the book in July, but the publication date is saying October.
But, to curb your Heather Ross appetite until October I do believe that her nursery rhyme fabric is still coming out this summer! Which is prefect since we are expecting a new addition to our family in October so that will give me plenty of time to make a baby quilt out of it! When I hear more about the release date on that I will let you guys know!
